Timing belt replacement

With the help of a toothed belt, the crankshaft and the camshaft are turned into the correct relationship with each other. In most cases, belt breakage will result in a partial engine repair (cylinder head repair) or, in rare cases, an entire engine replacement or repair. The belt is replaced according to the regulations established by the manufacturer. On all makes and models in different ways, on average 60-180,000 km or every 5-10 years. The belt is replaced as a set with all rollers and tensioners, and the water pump needs to be replaced, which is driven by the same belt on most cars.

Call our specialists to find out at what mileage your vehicle needs a belt replacement.

We recommend replacing the belt if:

  • Time to change the belt (temporary or mileage)

  • If you have bought a car and do not know or doubt when the timing belt has been changed

  • If oil has gotten on the belt, e.g. due to a leak from the engine

  • If the belt has been removed from the engine for repairs (unless recently replaced).
